The CLEARSCAN laser can selectively target microstructures such as hair follicles. It can be used on all skin types as well as sun-tanned skin. If you have been tanning or exposed to the sun within the last 3 weeks, the treatment regimen may be adjusted accordingly to give the safest, most effective experience.
Topical anesthetic cream may be used during treatment. Also, a system for cooling your skin during the procedure is employed that removes heat as it leaves the hair follicles to ensure the most comfortable experience.
The CLEARSCAN laser works by selectively targeting your hair follicles and heats them with infrared energy. Unlike other processes the laser beam treats many hairs at once, making treatment of large areas practical. The CLEARSCAN employs a unique computer-guided scanning system that automates the treatment, ensuring that your skin is rapidly and evenly treated. The computer sets the parameters and places the beam in an optimum pattern for your skin to ensure a safe, fast, effective and gentle treatment.
Some redness and slight swelling may be present in the area that has been treated, but should subside in just a few hours.
You may need to be treated 6 times or more at intervals of 6 to 13 weeks. |
